Frequently asked questions

No, the visa-free entry is not extendable. You must leave Azerbaijan before the 30 days are up. Overstaying can result in fines and future entry bans. If you need to stay longer, you'd have to leave and re-enter, but that's not guaranteed to reset the clock — best to plan your trip within 30 days.
Omani citizens can enter Azerbaijan through any international border crossing, including land borders with Georgia, Russia, Iran, and Turkey. The same 30-day visa-free rule applies. Just have your passport ready and be prepared for possible questions about your itinerary.
No, there's no separate registration requirement for Omani citizens. The entry stamp you receive is sufficient. Hotels may ask for your passport to register you with local authorities, but that's their responsibility, not yours.
No, the visa-free entry is for tourism and business visits only. If you plan to work, study, or stay longer than 30 days, you must apply for the appropriate visa at an Azerbaijani embassy or consulate before you travel.
Overstaying is taken seriously in Azerbaijan. You could face a fine (around 300 AZN) and possible deportation, plus a ban from re-entering for a period. It's not worth the risk — keep track of your entry date and leave on time.
No, there's no visa on arrival for Omani citizens. If you think you might need more than 30 days, you must apply for a visa at an embassy before you travel. The visa-free entry is strictly limited to 30 days and cannot be extended or converted.
If you're denied entry, you'll be returned to your point of origin. This is rare for Omani citizens, but it can happen if you don't meet the entry requirements (e.g., passport validity, proof of funds). Stay calm, ask for a written reason, and contact your embassy if needed.
