Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Barbados. Immigration officers at Grantley Adams International Airport check this at the desk — they won't let you through if it expires before you leave.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Barbados
Immigration will ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket before they stamp you in. Budget airlines like Caribbean Airlines and interCaribbean check this at check-in too — have the booking confirmation ready on your phone.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host ready. Officers at the border sometimes ask where you're staying — a printed booking or email on your phone works fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Carry a bank statement or credit card showing you have enough for your stay. Immigration rarely asks for this for short visits, but having a recent statement on your phone avoids any hassle.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Airlines check passport validity before boarding. If your passport expires within 6 months of your entry date, you may be denied boarding even if you have a valid visa-free entry.
No arrival form needed
Unlike some Caribbean countries, Barbados does not require an online arrival declaration for Omani passport holders. Just show up with your documents.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents before departure
Check your passport validity (6+ months from entry date). Print or save screenshots of your return ticket, first-night accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Have these accessible on your phone or in a folder.
2
Arrive at Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI)
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration'. There are separate queues for citizens and visitors. Join the 'Visitors' queue. Have your passport and supporting documents ready.
3
Present documents to immigration officer
Hand over your passport and any requested documents. The officer will ask your purpose of visit and how long you plan to stay. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with a 90-day entry permit.
4
Collect luggage and proceed to customs
After immigration, go to baggage claim. Then proceed through customs. There's usually a green channel for nothing to declare and a red channel for goods to declare. If you have nothing to declare, walk through the green channel.
