Omani passport holders need an eVisa to enter Cameroon in 2026. The eVisa must be obtained online before travel — there is no visa on arrival for Omanis. Plan ahead, as processing can take a few business days.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before departure
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at the official portal before you fly. Processing takes 3–5 business days, so submit at least a week ahead. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Douala and Yaoundé will ask for it.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay
Your passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Cameroon does not enforce a strict 6-month validity rule — just make sure it covers your travel dates. Airlines may still ask for 6 months, so check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Douala and Yaoundé routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmations or an invitation letter from your host in Cameroon can speed things up at the border. Officers may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry enough cash (CFA francs or a major currency) or a bank statement showing you can cover your stay. Immigration rarely asks for it, but having it avoids delays if questioned.Recommended
Yellow fever certificate is mandatory
Cameroon requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers aged 9 months and older. You'll be asked to show the yellow card at immigration. No card = possible denial of entry or a forced vaccination at the airport.
Keep digital and printed copies of everything
Print your eVisa, hotel booking, and return ticket. Also save PDFs on your phone. Power outages and network issues are common — paper never runs out of battery.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa website (evisacameroon.com). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee by credit card. Processing typically takes 2–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get the eVisa by email. Print a paper copy and also save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival in Cameroon.
3
Prepare your documents for departure
Before heading to the airport, gather: your passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return ticket, and first-night hotel booking. Keep them in your carry-on.
4
Arrive at Yaoundé or Douala airport
Most international flights land at Yaoundé Nsimalen or Douala International. Follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Visa on Arrival' — but since you have an eVisa, join the regular passport control queue. Present your passport and eVisa. The officer will stamp you in.
