Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport must be valid for the entire period you plan to stay in Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan does not require 6 months of validity beyond your departure date, but airlines may still enforce this — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended for visa-free entry
Immigration officers at Manas International Airport may ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return or onward ticket ready to show at the border.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to have ready
Hotel booking confirmations or an invitation letter from a host can speed up the immigration process. Officers rarely ask, but having it avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to have ready
You may be asked to show you have enough money for your stay. A bank statement or credit card showing access to at least $50 USD per day is sufficient.Recommended
60-day stay is not extendable
You cannot extend your stay beyond 60 days. If you need more time, you must leave the country and re-enter, or apply for a visa before your trip. Overstaying leads to fines and potential entry bans.
No visa needed — just show up
Omani passport holders get 60 days visa-free. No application, no fee, no embassy visit. Just have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation ready at the border.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Manas International Airport (Bishkek) or Osh Airport
You'll go through immigration control. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation booking ready. The officer will stamp your passport with a 60-day entry. No visa is issued — it's a straight stamp.
2
Complete the arrival card (if required)
Sometimes you'll be given a small white card to fill out on the plane or at the counter. Keep the departure portion with your passport — you'll need to hand it back when leaving.
3
Proceed to baggage claim and customs
After immigration, collect your bags. Customs is usually green channel for most travellers. If you have nothing to declare, walk straight through.
