Omani citizens can enter Russia without a visa for tourism or business stays of up to 30 days. The visa-free regime applies to each entry; overstaying is not permitted and extensions are not available.Required
Passport validityCheck your passport expiry date well before you travel; if it's close to expiring, renew it first.
At least 6 months beyond your intended departure date

Blank passport pagesBorder control needs a clean page to stamp; having extra blank pages is safer.
At least 1 blank page for entry stamp
Your passport must have at least one blank page for the Russian border officer to affix the entry stamp. It is recommended to have more than one blank page to avoid issues.Required
Return or onward ticketHaving a ticket out of Russia helps prove you intend to leave within the allowed time.
Proof of departure from Russia
Although not always requested, you should carry a printed or digital copy of your return or onward ticket showing departure from Russia before the 30-day visa-free period ends. Border officers may ask for it.Recommended
Proof of fundsIt's wise to carry some cash and a credit card to show you can support yourself.
Sufficient money for your stay
While not a formal requirement for Omani citizens, you should be able to show evidence of sufficient funds (e.g., cash, credit cards, bank statements) to cover your expenses during your stay in Russia, if asked by immigration.Recommended

E-visa applicationNo online visa application is needed – just show your passport at the border.

eVisa only for air travel
The Russian eVisa is valid only for entry by air. You cannot use it to enter via land borders or seaports. If you plan to arrive by train or car, you'll need a traditional visa from a Russian embassy.
Migration registration is automatic at hotels
If you're staying in a hotel, they handle the migration registration for you. No action needed. For private apartments, remind your host — it's their legal obligation.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.kdmid.ru and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, a digital photo, and your travel dates. Processing usually takes 4 calendar days. You'll receive the approval by email.
2
Prepare your documents
Print your eVisa approval, hotel booking, and return ticket. Save digital copies on your phone as backup.
3
Arrive at a Russian airport
At passport control, hand over your passport and eVisa printout. The officer will scan your passport and stamp the entry. Expect questions about your hotel and return flight.
4
Complete migration registration
Within 7 days of arrival, your hotel or host must register your stay with the migration authorities. If you're in a private apartment, the host handles this. You don't need to do anything yourself, but confirm it's done.
