Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for at least the length of your stay in Kosovo. Airlines at Muscat (MCT) may enforce a 6-month validity rule — check with your carrier before departure.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kosovo
Immigration at Pristina International Airport (PRN) routinely asks for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot on your phone ready — they check this at the counter.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation email or a letter from a host is enough — no need to print, just have it accessible on your phone.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Officers rarely ask, but if they do, a bank statement or credit card showing access to roughly €100 per day of stay works. Keep a screenshot of your banking app ready.Recommended
No visa needed — but carry proof of onward travel
Omani passport holders can enter Kosovo visa-free for up to 90 days. However, immigration officers may ask for a return or onward ticket and proof of accommodation. Keep digital copies on your phone to avoid delays.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Kosovo, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew before you go.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
Most travellers fly into Pristina International Airport (PRN). After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Passport Control'.
2
Join the passport control queue
There are separate queues for Kosovo citizens and foreigners. Join the 'All Passports' or 'Foreigners' line. Wait times are usually 10–20 minutes.
3
Present your passport and supporting documents
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation booking. Have them ready — either printed or on your phone. Answer questions clearly (purpose of visit, length of stay).
4
Receive your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry. Check the stamp is legible before leaving the counter. You are now cleared to stay up to 90 days.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There are no additional forms or fees for visa-free entry.
