Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before departure
Apply for a Zimbabwe eVisa at the official portal. Processing takes 2–5 business days, so submit at least a week before your flight. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Harare and Victoria Falls will ask to see it.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must have 6 months validity
Your passport needs at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of entry into Zimbabwe. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International and Victoria Falls Airport routinely ask for proof of a return or onward flight. Have a printed itinerary or a digital copy on your phone ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Zimbabwe. Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card showing you have enough funds for your trip. Immigration rarely asks, but if they do, they want to see you are not coming to work illegally.Recommended
Apply early — no visa on arrival
Omani passport holders cannot get a visa at the airport. You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight to Zimbabwe. Apply at least 7 days in advance.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa PDF, flight booking, and hotel confirmation on your phone. Immigration at Harare and Victoria Falls airports often ask to see all three. A printed copy of the eVisa is also recommended.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to www.evisa.gov.zw, create an account, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page, and pay the fee (around $30–$60 USD depending on visa type). Processing takes 3–7 business days. You'll receive a PDF approval by email.
2
Print or save the eVisa approval
Print a paper copy and also save the PDF on your phone. Immigration at Harare (HRE) and Victoria Falls (VFA) airports will ask to see it before they stamp you in.
3
Arrive at Zimbabwe immigration
At the immigration counter, hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. They may ask for your accommodation address. The officer will stamp you in — usually for up to 30 days. The whole process takes 5–10 minutes if you have everything ready.
