Peruvian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Cameroon. You apply entirely online before you travel. As of 2026, this is the only way to get a visa for tourism or business — no visa on arrival is available.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Required before travel
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at the official portal before departure. The application takes about 15 minutes and requires a passport scan, photo, and flight itinerary. Processing time is 48 to 72 hours — do not book non-refundable flights until approved.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Cameroon. Have at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Yaoundé and Douala airports check for a confirmed onward or return ticket. A printed copy of your booking works — digital on your phone is fine too.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmations or a letter of invitation from your host in Cameroon. Officers rarely ask, but having it printed avoids delays if questioned.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry cash (CFA francs, euros, or US dollars) or a bank statement showing you can support yourself during your stay. No fixed amount is published, but around $100 per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
No visa on arrival for Peruvians
You must have an approved eVisa before you fly. There is no option to get a visa at the airport. Airlines will check your eVisa at check-in — without it, you won't be allowed to board.
Yellow fever vaccine required
Cameroon requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers. Get the shot at least 10 days before departure and carry your yellow card with your passport.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa portal (evisacameroon.com). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee with a credit card. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Arrive at Yaoundé or Douala airport
At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. They'll stamp you in. Keep your boarding pass handy — they sometimes ask for it.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, grab your bags from the carousel. There's a customs check (usually just a quick scan). Then you're free to leave the airport.
