6 months validity required
Your Peruvian passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Nigeria. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Lagos and Abuja airports routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host letter
You need to show where you are staying for the duration of your trip. A hotel confirmation email or a signed letter from your host with their address and phone number works.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or cash
Carry a recent bank statement showing at least $500 USD or the equivalent in Naira. Immigration may ask to see it, especially if you are staying more than a week.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
Nigeria requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers. Without the yellow card, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated on arrival at your own expense.
eVisa must be printed
A digital copy on your phone is not enough. Print the eVisa approval PDF and keep it with your passport. Airlines also check it at check-in.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Nigeria Immigration Service portal (portal.immigration.gov.ng), create an account, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and your passport data page, and pay the visa fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll get a PDF via email. Print at least one copy — you'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Nigeria.
3
Arrive at a Nigerian airport
Most international flights land at Lagos (LOS) or Abuja (ABV). At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. They'll stamp you in. The process is straightforward but can be slow — expect 30–60 minutes.
