Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at the official portal at least 7 days before departure. The eVisa is valid for a single entry and allows stays up to 90 days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration officers at Douala and Yaoundé airports check this before they stamp you in.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Cameroon. Airlines at Manila and connecting hubs (Dubai, Addis Ababa, Istanbul) enforce this rule strictly — they will deny boarding if your passport expires sooner.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration at Douala and Yaoundé airports asks to see a confirmed onward or return ticket before granting entry. Budget airlines like Ethiopian Airlines and Air France also check this at check-in. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Cameroon. Immigration officers occasionally ask for this, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. A printed booking from Booking.com or Airbnb works fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Have at least 200,000 CFA francs (about $330 USD) in cash or a recent bank statement showing sufficient funds. Officers rarely ask, but if they do, they want to see you can cover your stay without working. Credit cards are not accepted as proof.Recommended
No visa on arrival
There is no visa on arrival for Filipino passport holders. You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight to Cameroon.
Yellow fever vaccine required
You'll need to show a yellow fever vaccination certificate at immigration. Get the shot at least 10 days before you travel.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa website (evisacameroon.com). Fill in your personal and travel details, upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa document. Print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. You'll show this at immigration in Cameroon.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you land, have your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, and first-night accommodation confirmation ready. Keep them in your carry-on, not checked luggage.
4
Arrive at Yaoundé or Douala airport
Most international flights arrive at Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport or Douala International Airport. Go to the immigration counter, present your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking. Answer clearly and calmly.
5
Get your passport stamped
If everything is in order, the officer will stamp your passport with your entry date. That's it — you're in. Keep the stamp visible in case you need it later.
