Filipino passport holders need a visa to enter Jordan in 2026. The easiest way is to apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) online before you travel. Processing takes a few business days, so plan ahead.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Philippine passport holders need a visa for Jordan. Apply online at the Jordan eServices portal at least 2 weeks before departure. The eVisa costs around 40 JOD and is usually processed within 3–5 business days.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for 6 months beyond stay
Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry into Jordan. Airlines at Manila and other Philippine departure points enforce this strictly — they will deny boarding if your passport expires sooner.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Jordan immigration officers routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready. Airlines also check this before boarding.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration may ask where you are staying. Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and phone number. This is not always checked, but having it avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Officers can request evidence of sufficient funds. Carry bank statements or a credit card showing at least 500 JOD (around 700 USD) for a short visit. Cash in USD or EUR is widely accepted at exchange counters.Recommended
Apply at least 1 week before departure
Processing times for the e-Visa are usually 2–5 business days, but delays happen. Don't leave it to the last minute — apply at least a week before your flight to avoid stress.
No visa on arrival for Philippine passport holders
You cannot get a visa at the airport. The e-Visa is mandatory. If you arrive without one, you'll be denied entry and sent back on the next flight.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-Visa online
Go to the official Jordan e-Visa website (eservices.moi.gov.jo). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a recent passport-style photo. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Processing takes 2–5 business days. You'll receive the approved visa as a PDF via email.
2
Print your e-Visa and pack supporting documents
Print at least one copy of the approved e-Visa. Also print or save on your phone: your return flight booking, first night hotel confirmation, and travel insurance certificate. Keep them together in a folder.
3
Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control' (not 'Transit'). Join the queue for foreign passport holders. When it's your turn, hand over your passport, printed e-Visa, and any requested documents. The officer will check your details, stamp your passport, and let you through. The whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, go to the baggage claim area. Grab your bags, then head to the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no goods to declare. You're now officially in Jordan.

Frequently asked questions

The e-Visa fee varies by nationality, but for Philippine passport holders it's typically around 40–60 Jordanian Dinars (JOD), roughly 2,800–4,200 PHP. You pay online with a credit or debit card. Check the official portal for the exact amount at the time of application.
Filipino passport holders are not eligible for a visa on arrival. You must obtain an e-Visa before you travel. There is no option to get one at the airport.
The standard tourist e-Visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entry. It's a single-entry visa. If you need to stay longer, you can apply for an extension at a Jordanian police station or immigration office, but it's not guaranteed.
Rejections are rare but can happen if your passport photo doesn't meet requirements or if there's a mismatch in your details. You'll get an email explaining the reason. You can reapply with corrected information. If you're unsure, contact the Jordanian embassy in Manila before reapplying.
If you're staying airside (not passing through immigration) and your layover is less than 12 hours, you generally don't need a visa. But if you want to leave the airport or have a long layover, you'll need the e-Visa. Check with your airline for specific transit rules.
Yes, you can apply for a one-time extension of up to 30 additional days at the nearest police station or immigration office in Jordan. The fee is around 20 JOD (about 1,400 PHP). Do this before your initial visa expires. Overstaying can result in fines.
Hand over your passport (with the e-Visa printout tucked inside), your return flight booking, and your hotel confirmation. The officer may also ask for proof of travel insurance. Have everything ready in a folder to speed things up.
