Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus

Valid passport
Philippine passport
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Russia. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers at Russian airports routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your outbound booking ready — they check this before stamping you in.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a visa invitation letter (if applicable). Officers at passport control may ask where you are staying — having the address and booking confirmation speeds things up.Recommended
Proof of funds
Financial means
Have at least $500 USD or equivalent in cash or a bank statement showing sufficient funds. Russian immigration can ask to see proof you can cover your stay — a credit card plus recent statement works.Recommended
eVisa processing time
Apply at least 4 calendar days before your trip. The system does not allow same-day or next-day applications. If you apply too late, you may not get approval in time.
Migration card
When you enter Russia, you'll receive a migration card (a small paper slip). Keep it with your passport at all times. You'll need to return it when you leave. Losing it can cause delays at departure.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.kdmid.ru and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, and accommodation info. Submit at least 4 days before your trip. Approval usually comes within 4 calendar days.
2
Prepare your documents
Print or save digital copies of your eVisa approval, passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation. Keep them in a folder or on your phone for easy access.
3
Arrive at a Russian airport
When you land, proceed to the immigration queue for foreign passport holders. Have your passport and eVisa approval ready. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation details.
4
Go through passport control
Hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer will check your documents, take a photo, and stamp your passport. You'll receive a migration card — keep it with you until you leave.
5
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, pick up your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel.

Frequently asked questions

The official processing time is up to 4 calendar days. In practice, many applications are approved within 2–3 days. Apply at least a week before your trip to be safe.
No. The eVisa is not extendable. You must leave Russia before the 16th day. If you need a longer stay, you'll need a different visa type (e.g., a tourist visa from a Russian embassy).
Your hotel or host is required to register you within 7 days of arrival. If you're staying in a private apartment, the host must do it. You don't need to do anything yourself, but keep a copy of the registration slip.
Rejections are rare but can happen if your application has errors or missing information. You can reapply with corrected details. There's no appeal process. Common reasons: passport validity too short, incorrect travel dates, or incomplete accommodation info.
The eVisa is valid for entry at most international airports, including Moscow (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo), St. Petersburg (Pulkovo), and others. Check the official list on the eVisa website before booking.
If you're transiting and staying airside (not passing through passport control), you generally don't need a visa. But if you need to enter Russia (e.g., to switch terminals or stay overnight), you'll need the eVisa.
It's not listed as a mandatory requirement on the eVisa application, but it's strongly recommended. Some airlines may ask for proof of insurance before boarding. Better to have it.
