Filipino passport holders need an eVisa to enter Uganda. You must apply online before you travel — there's no visa on arrival for Philippine citizens. This requirement has been in place since 2025.

Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must show your yellow fever vaccination certificate (yellow card) at immigration. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport — which costs time and money.
eVisa is not extendable
The standard eVisa cannot be extended. If you need more time, you'll have to leave Uganda and re-enter with a new visa. Plan your trip accordingly.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Uganda eVisa portal (visas.immigration.go.ug). Fill in the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card.

Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 3–5 business days. You'll receive an approval email with a PDF attachment. Print it and keep a digital copy on your phone.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
When you land, head to the immigration hall. Join the queue for 'eVisa holders' (there's a separate line). Present your passport, the eVisa approval PDF, and your return ticket. The officer will stamp you in.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, go to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, walk through the green channel. You're in.
