Uganda entry requirements for Philippines passport holders
Filipino passport holders need an eVisa to enter Uganda. You must apply online before you travel — there's no visa on arrival for Philippine citizens. This requirement has been in place since 2025.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| eVisa application Uganda eVisa | Apply for your Uganda eVisa at the official Uganda eVisa portal at least 2 weeks before travel. The eVisa is mandatory for Philippine passport holders — no visa on arrival is available. Upload your passport scan, passport photo, and travel itinerary during the application.Apply for eVisa | Required |
| Valid passport Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date | Your Philippine passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from the date you plan to leave Uganda. Immigration officers at Entebbe Airport check this strictly — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Uganda | Immigration at Entebbe will ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket before they stamp you in. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this at the counter, not just at check-in. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Uganda. Immigration officers occasionally ask for this, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Sufficient cash or bank statement | Have at least $200 USD in cash or a recent bank statement showing available funds. Immigration may ask how you plan to support yourself during your stay — showing cash or a card with a decent balance works. | Recommended |
