Pakistani passport holders need an approved eVisa before traveling to Oman. The eVisa is for tourism or short visits, and you must apply online through the Royal Oman Police eVisa portal. Processing can take a few days, so apply early — you'll need to show the approved visa on arrival.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Oman eVisa
Apply for an Oman eVisa at the Royal Oman Police eVisa portal before travel. The eVisa is linked electronically to your passport — print the approval letter and carry it with you. Processing typically takes 1–3 business days.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay
Your passport must have at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of entry into Oman. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Oman
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight itinerary ready. Without one, you risk being refused entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Oman. Immigration may ask where you are staying — having the address and contact number ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Officers may ask to see evidence you can support yourself during your stay. Carry a recent bank statement or enough cash (around 500 OMR equivalent) to cover your expenses.Recommended
eVisa required — no visa on arrival for Pakistanis
You cannot get a visa on arrival at Muscat airport or any land border. You must apply and receive approval before you travel. Airlines will check this before letting you board.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Oman, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it first.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.rop.gov.om, fill in your details, upload a passport-style photo and a copy of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around 20 OMR for a tourist visa) with a credit card. Processing usually takes 1–3 business days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print a copy and save it on your phone. The visa is linked to your passport number, so you don't need to carry the printout, but it's safer to have it.
3
Arrive at Muscat International Airport
At immigration, join the 'Visitors' queue. Hand over your passport (with the eVisa printout if asked). The officer will scan your passport, check your onward ticket and accommodation, and stamp you in. The whole process takes 5–10 minutes if you have everything ready.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel. There are no additional checks unless you're carrying restricted items. Then walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel.
