Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay in the UAE
Your Polish passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. UAE immigration does not enforce the 6-month validity rule — your passport just needs to be valid for the duration of your visit. Airlines may still ask for 6 months validity at check-in, so check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Immigration may ask for proof of departure
UAE border officers routinely ask for a return or onward flight ticket at passport control. Have a printed or digital copy of your outbound booking ready. A flexible ticket or one with a refundable fare gives you breathing room if your plans change.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration officers may ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation email or a letter from your host with their Emirates ID number works. If you're staying with friends, have their contact details and address written down.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during the stay
Officers rarely ask for bank statements for short visits, but carry a credit card or a few hundred dirhams in cash. If you're staying the full 90 days, have access to at least 5,000 AED (roughly 1,360 USD) — enough to cover accommodation and daily expenses.Recommended
Overstay fines add up fast
The fine is 50 AED (about 14 USD) per day, with no cap. If you overstay by 30 days, that's 1,500 AED. Set a calendar reminder to leave before day 90.
No visa needed, but have your documents ready
Immigration officers at UAE airports are efficient but can ask for proof of onward travel and accommodation. Keep digital copies on your phone to speed things up.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at UAE immigration
At Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or any other UAE airport, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' or 'Visitors'. Join the queue for non-GCC nationals.
2
Present your passport and ticket
Hand over your passport and your return/onward ticket. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and where you're staying. Answer clearly.
3
Get your free visitor stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with a 90-day visitor visa. No payment, no forms. You're free to enter.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel, then walk through customs (usually green channel for most tourists).
