Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Polish passport only needs to be valid for the time you plan to stay in Armenia. Airlines rarely check beyond that, but carry a copy of your flight itinerary just in case.Required
Return or onward ticket
Immigration may ask for proof of departure
Border officers at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan ask for a return or onward ticket about half the time. Have a printed or digital copy ready — a bus ticket to Georgia works too.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and phone number. Officers rarely ask, but when they do, they want to see a specific place you're staying at.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during the stay
Have a bank statement or credit card showing at least 50,000 AMD (roughly $130) per day of your stay. Officers almost never check this for Polish passport holders, but it's smart to have it.Recommended
Visa-free for 180 days per year
You can stay up to 180 days total within a 365-day period. There's no minimum gap required between visits, but overstaying is not allowed.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Armenian border control will refuse entry if your passport has less than 6 months of validity from your date of entry. Check your passport's expiry date before booking flights.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Yerevan Zvartnots Airport (EVN) or land border
Most travellers fly into Zvartnots. After deplaning, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for Armenian citizens and foreigners — join the foreigners line. Have your passport ready.
2
Present your passport to the border officer
Hand over your passport. The officer will check your photo, verify your visa-free status, and stamp you in. They may ask how long you're staying and where you're staying. Answer briefly and honestly. The whole process takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
3
Collect your luggage and exit customs
After passport control, head to baggage claim. Customs is usually green channel (nothing to declare) unless you're carrying large sums of cash or restricted goods. Walk through and you're in Armenia.
