Passport validity is strict
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Azerbaijan. If it's even one day short, you'll be denied boarding or entry. Check your passport now, not the night before your flight.
eVisa is single-entry
The eVisa allows one entry. If you leave Azerbaijan (even for a day trip to Georgia), you'll need a new eVisa to return. Plan your itinerary accordingly.

Go to evisa.gov.az. Fill in your passport details, travel dates, and contact info. Pay the fee (around $20 USD) with a credit card. You'll get a confirmation email with a reference number.

Processing usually takes 3 business days. You'll receive the approved eVisa by email as a PDF. Print a copy and save it on your phone.

Arrive at Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD)
Most flights from Portugal arrive at Baku's main airport. Follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Have your passport and eVisa ready. The officer will stamp you in — no extra forms needed.
