Frequently asked questions

No, the visa-free entry is not extendable. You must leave within 90 days. If you want to stay longer, you'd need to apply for a visa before traveling or leave and re-enter after a short time outside Colombia.
Overstaying is taken seriously. You'll be fined approximately 2–3 USD per day over, and you may be banned from re-entering Colombia for a period. Always leave on time.
Not required for Qatar passport holders arriving directly from Qatar. However, if you've recently been in a country with yellow fever (e.g., Brazil, Peru), you'll need proof of vaccination. It's recommended anyway if you're visiting jungle areas.
No. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. If it expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding by the airline or entry by immigration.
Yes. It's a legal requirement. You must complete it online at migracioncolombia.gov.co within 72 hours before your flight. Without it, you may be fined or denied entry. It's free and takes about 5 minutes.
You need one to board your flight. Airlines check this. You can book a refundable ticket or a cheap onward bus/flight to a neighboring country. A screenshot on your phone is fine to show immigration.
Technically, the visa-free entry is for tourism only. Remote work for a foreign employer is in a gray area — many digital nomads do it without issues. But if you're caught working for a Colombian company, you'd be violating your status. Colombia has a specific digital nomad visa if you plan to stay longer.
