Transiting through Suriname
Qatari passport holders transiting through Suriname (e.g., at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport) require a visa unless they remain airside and depart on the same aircraft within a short connection time. However, Suriname has no dedicated airside transit zone, so in practice you must clear immigration and therefore need a visa.
- Diplomatic or official passport holders may be exempt.
- Passengers with a confirmed onward ticket and no checked luggage might be allowed to stay airside for very short connections, but this is at the discretion of the airline and immigration.
