Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date from Singapore. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking out of Singapore ready — they will check the date matches your visa-free stay limit.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Singapore. Immigration may ask where you are staying, and having a booking ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
Have access to at least 1,000 SGD (or equivalent in cash, credit card, or bank statement). Immigration officers rarely check this for short stays, but it is a formal requirement.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Airlines check your passport validity at check-in. If you have less than 6 months remaining, you may be denied boarding. Renew your passport well in advance.
No visa, no application, no fee
Romanian passport holders do not need to apply for any visa or pay any fee for stays up to 90 days. Just show up with a valid passport and a return ticket.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents before departure
Print or save digital copies of your passport, return ticket, hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in a separate folder on your phone or in your carry-on.
2
Arrive at Changi Airport and proceed to immigration
At Changi Airport (SIN), follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Foreign Passports'. Join the queue for non-Singaporean passports. Have your passport and boarding pass ready.
3
Present your passport and answer questions
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, length of stay, and where you're staying. Answer clearly and briefly. You'll receive an entry stamp valid for up to 90 days.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. Unless you're carrying restricted items, you'll walk straight through the green channel.
