Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Cyprus. Cyprus does not enforce the 6-month validity rule for Serbian passport holders, but your airline might — check with them before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Cyprus
Immigration officers at Larnaca and Paphos airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready — they check this before stamping you in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation, Airbnb receipt, or a letter from your host. Officers ask for it often enough that you should have it ready on your phone or printed.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have access to at least €50 per day of your stay — a bank statement or credit card works. Officers rarely ask, but when they do, they want to see it immediately.Recommended
Passport validity is strict
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Cyprus. If it expires sooner, renew it before booking your trip. Airlines may also deny boarding if your passport doesn't meet this requirement.
90-day limit applies to all Schengen countries
The 90-day visa-free stay applies to the entire Schengen area (including Cyprus). If you've already spent time in other Schengen countries in the 180 days before arriving in Cyprus, that time counts toward your 90-day limit. Use the EU's short-stay calculator to track your days.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare documents before departure
Check your passport validity (6+ months from entry date). Print or save on your phone: return ticket, first night accommodation confirmation, and travel insurance certificate.
2
Arrive at Larnaca or Paphos airport
You'll go through passport control. Join the 'All Passports' queue. Hand over your passport. The officer may ask how long you're staying and where you're staying. Answer clearly.
3
Receive entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the entry date. This starts your 90-day clock. Keep the stamp visible — you'll need it when leaving.
4
Exit procedure
When leaving, go through passport control again. The officer may check your exit stamp. No additional forms needed.
