No eVisa option for Russian nationals

Plan for longer processing times

Don't buy non-refundable travel

Complete the online application
Go to the official UK Visas and Immigration website and fill out the Standard Visitor visa application. You'll need to create an account, answer questions about your trip, and pay the £115 fee. Save your application reference number — you'll need it for your appointment.

Book and attend your biometric appointment
After submitting your application, book an appointment at one of the UK Visa Application Centres in Russia — Moscow, St. Petersburg, or Yekaterinburg. Bring your passport, appointment confirmation, and any required documents. At the appointment, you'll give your fingerprints and have your photo taken.

Submit your supporting documents
Upload your supporting documents to the UKVI website before your appointment, or bring paper copies to the VAC. The staff will scan and return them to you. Make sure everything is in English or has certified translations.

Standard processing takes about 3 weeks, but it can be longer during peak seasons. You can track your application online using your reference number. Some applicants may be asked for an interview or additional documents — respond promptly if contacted.

Collect your passport and travel
Once approved, your passport will be returned with a visa vignette sticker. Check the dates and details carefully. When you arrive in the UK, go through the 'Other Passports' queue at border control. Have your passport and any supporting documents ready to show the Border Force officer.
