At the departure airport
The airline will check your passport validity and onward ticket before issuing a boarding pass. If your passport doesn't meet the 6-month rule, you won't be allowed to board.

On arrival in Jamaica
At Norman Manley International (Kingston) or Sangster International (Montego Bay), join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Present your passport and completed immigration card (usually given on the plane). The officer may ask how long you're staying and where you're staying. Answer clearly. You'll get a stamp allowing up to 90 days.

Collect your luggage, then proceed to customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel. Keep your passport and entry card handy — you'll need to show the card when leaving.
