What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Bahrain eVisa website (evisa.gov.bh). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a passport-sized photo. Pay the fee (30 BHD) by credit card. Submit and wait for approval — typically 2–5 business days.
2
Print or save your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive an email with your eVisa PDF. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at immigration in Bahrain.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you land, gather: your passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return ticket confirmation, and first-night hotel booking. Keep them in your hand luggage.
4
Arrive at Bahrain International Airport
At the airport, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and join the queue for 'Foreign Passports'. Hand over your passport, eVisa, and return ticket if asked. The officer may ask about your stay — answer honestly. You'll get an entry stamp valid for up to 30 days.
