Saudi Arabian passport holders need an eVisa to visit Russia in 2026. The application is done entirely online, and approval usually comes within a few days. Once approved, you can stay for up to 16 days on a single-entry visa.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Russian eVisa at the official portal. Processing takes up to 4 calendar days. The eVisa is valid for 60 days from issuance, with a maximum stay of 16 days per entry.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover your stay
Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Russia. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Russian law, but airlines may enforce a 6-month rule — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready. If you're flying out to a third country, that ticket works too.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a formal invitation from your host. Russian migration law requires all foreign visitors to register their place of stay within 7 days of arrival — your hotel or host handles this.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have at least 500 USD (or equivalent in rubles) per day of your stay available. Cash, credit card, or a bank statement works. Immigration rarely asks, but be ready if they do.Recommended
Register within 7 days
You must register your stay with local authorities within 7 days of arrival. Hotels do this for you, but if you're in private accommodation, make sure your host handles it. Fines for non-compliance can be steep.
eVisa is single-entry only
The eVisa allows one entry. If you leave Russia (even for a day trip), you cannot re-enter on the same visa. You'd need to apply for a new one.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.kdmid.ru, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a digital photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 4 calendar days, but can be faster.
2
Receive your eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa attached as a PDF. Print it out and save a copy on your phone. The visa is valid for 30 days from issue, and you can stay up to 16 days.
3
Arrive at a Russian airport
At passport control, hand over your passport and the printed eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking. Answer clearly and you'll be through in a few minutes.
4
Register your stay within 7 days
If you're staying in a hotel, they'll handle the registration automatically. If you're in private accommodation, your host must register you with the local migration office. This is mandatory.
