Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Seychelles. Airlines check this at check-in, and immigration officers at Seychelles International Airport will deny boarding if your passport expires before you leave.
Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration at Seychelles International Airport will ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket before they stamp you in. Budget airlines flying into Seychelles also check this at departure — have a printed copy or a screenshot ready.
Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Immigration officers may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel. Have a booking confirmation or a letter from your host ready — they've turned back travellers who couldn't name their accommodation.
Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
Officers can ask to see proof you can support yourself — bank statements, cash, or a credit card. There's no fixed minimum, but having at least $100 USD per day of your stay avoids any questions.
Recommended
No visa needed — but have these ready
You don't need a visa, but immigration may ask for your return ticket and accommodation details. Keep digital copies on your phone.
Passport validity is critical
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Seychelles. If it expires sooner, you will be refused entry.
What happens at the border

2

Hand over your passport and return/onward ticket. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They will stamp your passport with a visitor's permit valid for up to 90 days.
3
Collect luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There are no visa fees or forms to fill. You're free to leave the airport.
