What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa
Go to the official Russian eVisa website (evisa.kdmid.ru). Fill in the application form, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee (if any). Processing usually takes 4–7 calendar days.

Wait for approval
You'll receive the eVisa by email as a PDF. Check that all details (name, passport number, dates) are correct. Print a copy and save it on your phone.

Prepare your documents
Gather your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in a folder you can access quickly.

Arrive at the airport in Russia
At passport control, hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask to see your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly. You'll receive an entry stamp.

Register your stay
