Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Ukraine. Airlines check this before boarding. If your passport expires sooner, you will not be allowed to fly.
No visa needed, but registration may apply
You don't need a visa for stays up to 90 days. But if you stay longer than 30 days, you must register with the State Migration Service. Your hotel or host can usually handle this.
What happens at the border

Arrive at the airport or border crossing
At Kyiv Boryspil, Lviv, or any land border, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will check your passport validity, stamp you in, and you're done — usually under 2 minutes.

Fill out the arrival declaration (if required)
Ukraine does not require a standard arrival declaration for Swedish citizens. Just walk through after the passport check.

Collect your luggage and exit
After the stamp, head to baggage claim (if flying) and then customs. Green channel if nothing to declare. You're free to enter.
