Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure date from Schengen area
Your passport needs at least 3 months of validity after your planned exit from Denmark or any Schengen country. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Schengen area
Immigration at Copenhagen Airport routinely asks for a return or onward ticket showing you leave the Schengen zone within 90 days. Budget airlines like Ryanair and Norwegian also check this before letting you board.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation letter
Have a hotel confirmation, Airbnb booking, or a letter from a friend/family member you're staying with. Immigration officers occasionally ask for this, especially if you're arriving without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or cash showing you can support yourself
Carry a recent bank statement or credit card showing you have enough funds for your stay. Danish border officers rarely ask for this, but Schengen rules technically require you to show at least 500 DKK (~€67) per day of your stay.Recommended
Schengen area rules apply
Denmark is part of the Schengen zone. Your 90-day limit counts across all 27 Schengen countries. If you've already spent time in France or Germany earlier in the year, that time counts toward your 90 days.
No arrival declaration needed
Unlike some countries, Denmark does not require an online arrival declaration or pre-registration for Singapore passport holders. Just show up with your passport.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Copenhagen Airport or other entry point
You'll join the 'All Passports' queue at Copenhagen Airport (CPH). Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will check your passport, ask your purpose and length of stay, then stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 2–5 minutes.
2
Present documents at immigration counter
Hand over your passport. If asked, state 'tourism' or 'visiting family' and show your return ticket and hotel booking. The officer may ask how you'll support yourself — a credit card or cash is sufficient.
3
Receive entry stamp and proceed
Once approved, you'll get an entry stamp with the date. Keep the stamp visible — you'll need it when leaving. You're now free to stay up to 90 days in Denmark and the Schengen area.
