New Zealand entry requirements for Singapore passport holders
Singapore passport holders need a visa to enter New Zealand in 2026. You must apply for a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) before you travel — it's quick and done entirely online. Plan ahead: approval can take up to 72 hours, so don't leave it until the airport.

Transiting through New Zealand
Singapore passport holders transiting through New Zealand airports do not need a visa if they remain airside and hold a confirmed onward ticket. However, an NZeTA is required for any entry into New Zealand, including transit if you pass through immigration. For airside transit, no NZeTA is needed.
- If you need to clear immigration (e.g., to collect baggage and re-check), you must have a valid NZeTA or Visitor Visa.
- If you are transiting to or from Australia, you may need a transit visa for Australia separately.
