Singapore passport holders need an eVisa to enter Russia in 2026. The eVisa allows a single entry for up to 16 days and must be applied for online before travel. You'll need to meet a few key requirements.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply for a Russian eVisa at the official portal at least 4 calendar days before your trip. The eVisa allows a single entry for up to 16 days and covers tourism, business, and humanitarian visits. Print the eVisa approval and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the entire stay
Your Singapore passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Russia. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Russian law, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Russia
Immigration officers at Russian airports routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing your departure from Russia within the eVisa's 16-day validity.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel confirmation or a formal invitation from your host (if staying privately). Border officers may ask for your accommodation address on arrival, and your hotel must register your stay with the MVD within 7 days.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient money for your stay
Have cash or a bank statement showing at least the equivalent of 500 USD per day of your stay. Officers rarely check this for short eVisa trips, but it's safer to carry a printed bank statement.Recommended
eVisa is single entry only
You cannot leave Russia and re-enter on the same eVisa. If you plan to visit neighboring countries, you'll need a multiple-entry visa instead.
Keep your registration slip
When you check out of your hotel, ask for a copy of the registration slip. You may need it if you're asked by police or when leaving the country.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa
Go to the official Russian eVisa website (evisa.kdmid.ru). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a recent passport-style photo. Pay the fee (around $50 USD, varies by nationality). Processing takes 4 calendar days.
2
Receive and Print Approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval. Print a copy and save a PDF on your phone. The eVisa is valid for 60 days from issue, but you can only stay up to 16 days per entry.
3
Arrival at Russian Border
At passport control, hand over your passport and printed eVisa. The officer will scan your passport and may ask for your return ticket or accommodation proof. Answer clearly. You'll receive an entry stamp.
4
Register Your Stay
Within 7 days of arrival, your hotel or host must register you with local authorities. If you're staying in a private apartment, the host handles it. You don't need to do anything, but keep a copy of the registration slip.
