Singapore passport holders can enter El Salvador without a visa for stays up to 180 days. This policy is in effect for 2026. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date and you have a return or onward ticket.

Stay duration counts from entry
Your 180-day visa-free period starts the day you enter El Salvador. If you leave and re-enter, the clock resets. But don't try to reset it too often — immigration may question frequent back-to-back visits.
Overstaying is costly
Overstaying even a day can result in a fine of around $50–$100 and a note in your record. In serious cases, you could be banned from re-entering for up to 5 years. Set a reminder to leave on time.

Arrive at the airport
At San Salvador International Airport (SAL), follow signs to 'Migración' (Immigration). There are separate lines for Salvadorans and foreigners. Join the 'Extranjeros' queue.

Present your documents
Hand over your passport and any supporting documents (return ticket, accommodation booking) if asked. The officer will scan your passport, take a photo, and stamp you in.

After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and pass through customs. There's a green channel (nothing to declare) and a red channel (goods to declare).
