Singapore passport holders need a visa to enter Ukraine in 2026. Apply online before you travel — there is no visa-on-arrival. The e-Visa is straightforward if you prepare the documents in advance.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Visa application
eVisa required
Apply for a Ukraine eVisa at evisa.gov.ua before travel. The eVisa is valid for 30 days, single entry. Processing takes up to 9 business days — apply at least 2 weeks before departure.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Singapore passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Ukraine. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Ukrainian law, but airlines may enforce 3 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended
Immigration officers at Boryspil and Lviv airports routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return or next destination ticket ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Carry a hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in Ukraine. Officers may ask for it during the visa application process or at the border.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Have access to at least $50 USD per day of your stay. A bank statement or credit card showing sufficient funds works. Officers rarely check this for short visits, but it helps if asked.Recommended
Check border crossing status before travel
Ukraine's border crossings with Russia and Belarus are closed due to the war. All entry must be from the west (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova) or by air. Check the latest official travel advisories before booking.
e-Visa is single-entry only
The Ukraine e-Visa allows one entry. If you leave Ukraine (even for a day trip), you'll need a new visa to re-enter. Plan your itinerary accordingly.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for e-Visa online
Go to evisa.gov.ua, fill in the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $20 USD) and submit. Processing takes 5–10 business days. You'll receive the approved visa by email as a PDF.
2
Pack your documents
Print the e-Visa approval email and keep a digital copy on your phone. Also print your flight itinerary, accommodation booking, and travel insurance certificate. Have your passport ready.
3
Arrive at Ukrainian border control
At any airport or land border crossing, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and printed e-Visa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly — they usually speak some English at major airports like Kyiv Boryspil.
4
Receive entry stamp
Once approved, the officer stamps your passport with your entry date and allowed stay (usually 30 days). Check the stamp before leaving the counter — if the dates are wrong, ask for correction immediately.
