Slovenian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Cameroon in 2026. The eVisa is a straightforward online application — no embassy visit required. Plan ahead, as processing can take a few days.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at the official portal before departure. Processing takes 3–5 business days, and you need a digital passport photo and proof of accommodation. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport to present at immigration.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Cameroon. Have at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return flight ticket. Carry a printed copy or have it accessible on your phone.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Cameroon ready. Officers may ask for it during the visa application or at the border.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or cash
Carry a recent bank statement or enough cash (around 500 USD equivalent) to cover your stay. Immigration may request proof of financial means on arrival.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must carry your yellow fever vaccination certificate (Yellow Card) when entering Cameroon. Without it, you risk being denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport — which can be expensive and time-consuming.
Cash is king in Cameroon
ATMs are unreliable outside major cities, and credit cards are rarely accepted. Bring enough euros or US dollars to exchange at the airport or a bank. CFA francs are the local currency.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa website (evisacameroon.com). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport info page. Pay the fee (around €70–€100 depending on processing speed). Submit and wait for approval — typically 3–7 business days.
2
Print or save eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Cameroon.
3
Prepare documents for travel
Pack your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation in your carry-on. Also have a pen for the arrival card.
4
Arrive at Yaoundé or Douala airport
Most flights land at Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport (NSI) or Douala International Airport (DLA). After deplaning, follow signs to 'Immigration'. Join the queue for 'Foreign Passports'.
5
Present documents at immigration counter
Hand over your passport, eVisa printout, and completed arrival card. The officer will check your details, stamp your passport, and wave you through. Keep the stamped card — you'll need it when you leave.

Frequently asked questions

No. Slovenia is not on the visa-on-arrival list. You must get an eVisa before you travel. No exceptions at the airport.
Typically 3–7 business days. Paying for express processing (if available) can cut it to 1–2 days. Apply at least a week before your flight to be safe.
Around €70–€100 depending on the processing speed you choose. The official eVisa site accepts credit cards. Avoid third-party agents who charge extra.
Yes, it's mandatory. You'll need to show a yellow fever vaccination certificate (the 'Yellow Card') at immigration. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport (at your own cost).
The eVisa is not extendable. If you need to stay longer, you must leave and reapply for a new eVisa, or check with the Cameroon immigration office in Yaoundé before your current visa expires.
Renew your passport first. The 6-month validity is strictly enforced. If your passport expires sooner, your eVisa application will be rejected and you'll be denied boarding.
It's not officially required, but it's smart to have a credit card or cash (CFA francs) handy. Immigration rarely asks, but if they do, showing a card or a few hundred euros in cash is enough.
