What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.gouv.tg, fill in your personal and travel details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around 30,000 XOF, roughly €45) by credit card. Processing takes 2–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your approval letter
You'll get an email with an approval letter (PDF). Print it and keep a digital copy on your phone. The letter includes a QR code that immigration will scan.
3
Arrive at Lomé–Tokoin Airport (LFW)
After landing, head to the immigration hall. Join the queue for 'eVisa holders' — there's usually a separate desk. Hand over your passport, printed approval letter, and return ticket if asked. They'll scan the QR code, stamp your passport, and you're in. The whole process takes 10–20 minutes.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel. There's a customs check — declare anything over 500,000 XOF (about €760) in cash. Then walk out into the arrivals hall.
