What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa website (evisacameroon.com). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $80–$120 depending on processing speed) with a credit or debit card.
2
Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 3–5 business days. You'll receive the eVisa by email as a PDF. Print it out and also save a copy on your phone.
3
Prepare your documents for travel
Before you leave, gather: passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return/onward ticket, first night accommodation confirmation, and travel insurance (if you have it). Keep them in a folder you can grab quickly.
4
Arrive at Yaoundé or Douala airport
Most international flights land at Yaoundé Nsimalen or Douala International. Go to the 'Visa' or 'Immigration' desk. Present your passport and eVisa. The officer will check your documents, take fingerprints, and stamp your passport. This usually takes 10–20 minutes.
5
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. Customs checks are random — if stopped, declare any valuables. Then you're free to enter Cameroon.
