What happens at the border

Arrive at Hamad International Airport
Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then to 'Visa on Arrival' counters. These are clearly marked and separate from the main immigration queues for residents.

Present your documents
Hand over your passport and return ticket. The officer will check your passport validity and issue a visa sticker. Payment is by credit card (Visa/Mastercard) — cash is not accepted.

Pay the visa fee
The visa on arrival costs QAR 100 (about €25). Payment is processed at the counter. Keep the receipt.

Proceed to passport control
After getting the visa, join the main passport control queue. The officer will stamp your passport and you're in.
