Senegalese passport holders need a visa to enter Jordan in 2026. You must apply online before you travel — there is no visa on arrival for Senegalese citizens. The process is straightforward if you have your documents ready.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
You need a visa to enter Jordan. Apply online at the Jordan eServices portal before your trip. Processing takes 2–5 business days, and you'll receive a PDF visa to print and present at the border.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry into Jordan. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Jordan
Immigration officers at Queen Alia International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing you leave Jordan within your visa's validity period.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Jordan. Border officers sometimes ask for this, especially if you're staying more than a few days.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card ready to show you have enough money for your stay. Jordan doesn't publish a fixed minimum, but around 50 JOD per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
Apply early — don't wait until the last minute
The e-visa processing time is 3–5 business days, but it can take longer during holidays or if there are errors in your application. Apply at least 10 days before your flight to avoid stress.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your visa PDF, flight booking, and hotel confirmation in a cloud folder (Google Drive, iCloud) and also keep screenshots on your phone. If you lose the printout, you can still show the digital version.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-visa online
Go to the Jordanian Ministry of Interior e-services portal (eservices.moi.gov.jo). Fill in your personal details, upload a scan of your passport bio page, and pay the visa fee online. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your visa approval
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print it out and keep a digital copy on your phone. You'll need to show it at the airport check-in counter and again on arrival in Jordan.
3
Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM)
At Amman airport, head to the immigration hall. Present your passport, printed visa approval, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel and walk through customs. There's usually no customs check for personal items.
