Belarus eVisa application
Apply online before travel

Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Thai passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Belarus. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Belarusian law, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Belarus
Immigration at Minsk National Airport routinely asks for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing you leave Belarus within your visa's validity period.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Border officers may ask where you're staying. Carry a hotel confirmation or a notarized invitation letter from a Belarusian host. If staying with friends, they must register you with the local migration office within 3 days.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Belarus doesn't publish a fixed minimum, but having at least 500 USD in cash or a bank statement helps avoid questioning. ATMs are available in Minsk but less reliable outside the capital.Recommended
Visa processing can be slow
Apply at least 3 weeks before your trip. Standard processing takes 5-15 business days, and there are no guarantees. Don't book non-refundable flights until you have the visa in hand.
Registration requirement for stays over 5 days
If you stay longer than 5 days, you must register with the local migration office within 3 business days of arrival. Hotels handle this automatically; private apartment guests must do it themselves. Fines for non-compliance can be up to €200.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-Visa
Go to e-visa.by, fill out the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around €60-80 depending on processing speed). Wait for approval — typically 5-15 business days.
2
Print your visa and pack documents
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF visa. Print it in colour. Also print or save to your phone: your passport, return ticket, accommodation booking, and insurance certificate.
3
Arrive at Minsk National Airport (MSQ)
At passport control, hand over your passport and printed visa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with the visa sticker.
4
Register your stay (if staying more than 5 days)
If you're staying longer than 5 days, your hotel or host must register you with the local migration office within 3 business days of arrival. If you're in a private apartment, you must do this yourself at the nearest passport office.
