Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at the official portal before you fly. Processing takes 3–5 business days, so submit at least a week ahead. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your Thai passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Cameroon. Airlines check this at check-in — if it expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Yaoundé and Douala airports always ask for a confirmed onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a digital version ready on your phone. A flight reservation (not a booking) may be accepted, but a real ticket is safer.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel bookings or an invitation letter from a host in Cameroon help speed up the immigration process. Officers rarely ask, but having a printed confirmation avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry cash (Euros or US dollars) or a bank statement showing at least 500 USD equivalent per person. Immigration may ask how you plan to support yourself during the stay.Recommended
No eVisa = no boarding
Airlines will check your eVisa before you fly. Without it, you won't be allowed to board. Apply well in advance.
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate. Without it, you may be quarantined or denied entry. Get the shot at least 10 days before travel.
