Tunisian passport holders need an e-visa to travel to South Korea for tourism or short visits. You must apply online before you fly — there's no visa-on-arrival option. The process is straightforward, but make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization)Even though no visa is needed, you must get an approved K-ETA before flying to South Korea.
Visa-free entry for Tunisian citizens
Tunisian passport holders are eligible for visa-free entry to South Korea for short stays (typically up to 30 days). You must apply for a K-ETA online at least 72 hours before departure. The K-ETA is valid for multiple entries within 3 years from the date of approval. Approval is not guaranteed; apply well in advance.Required
Passport validityCheck your passport's expiry date – it must not expire within 6 months of your planned exit from Korea.
At least 6 months beyond intended stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from South Korea. For example, if you plan to leave on 2026-08-20, your passport must be valid until at least 2027-02-20.Required
Blank passport pagesImmigration officers need a clean page to stamp your passport – ensure you have at least one blank page.
At least 1 blank page
Your passport must have at least 1 blank page (unmarked, no stamps) for the entry stamp. It is recommended to have 2 blank pages to avoid issues at immigration.Required
Return or onward ticketImmigration may ask to see your outbound flight booking – have it ready.
Proof of departure from South Korea
You must be able to show a confirmed return or onward ticket to a country other than South Korea, with a departure date within your permitted stay (usually 30 days). The ticket must be in your name.Required
Proof of accommodationHaving a booking or invitation helps prove your travel plans and is often requested at check-in or immigration.
Hotel booking or invitation letter
You should have a confirmed hotel reservation for your entire stay in South Korea, or a letter of invitation from a host in Korea if staying with friends/family. The document must show your name and the dates of stay.Recommended
Proof of sufficient fundsCarry a recent bank statement or credit card to show you can support yourself financially.
For your stay
You may be asked to show evidence of sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in South Korea. A reasonable amount is around 30,000 KRW per day, but this is not a fixed rule. Bank statements or credit cards are acceptable.Recommended
Arrival declaration (K-ETA confirmation)You don't need to fill out any arrival form – just have your K-ETA approval handy.
Not required – but keep K-ETA approval
South Korea does not require a separate arrival declaration form for Tunisian citizens. However, you must carry a printed or digital copy of your approved K-ETA to present upon arrival if requested. Not required
Apply early — no visa on arrival
There is no visa-on-arrival option for Tunisian passport holders in South Korea. You must have an approved e-visa before you board your flight. Apply at least 2 weeks in advance to avoid last-minute stress.
Passport validity is non-negotiable
South Korean immigration will deny entry if your passport has less than 6 months validity from your arrival date. Check your passport now — if it's close, renew it before applying for the e-visa.
