Apply online before travel
Tunisian passport holders must obtain an e-Visa (also known as Visa on Arrival pre-approval) before boarding a flight to Nigeria. Apply through the Nigeria Immigration Service portal at https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/ at least 2 weeks before departure. The e-Visa is not extendable.Required

At least 6 months remaining
Your Tunisian passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of entry into Nigeria.Required
Blank passport pagesMake sure there's a completely blank page — stamps on already-used pages won't count.

e-Visa application documentsHave these documents ready as digital files before you start the online form.
Uploads and payment
During the e-Visa application you will need a digital passport photo, a scanned copy of your passport bio page, and a valid credit/debit card to pay the visa fee. You may also be asked for a letter of invitation or hotel booking.Required

Immigration officials may ask to see a confirmed return or onward flight ticket showing you will leave Nigeria before your visa expires.Required
Proof of sufficient fundsNot always asked, but it's safer to carry proof of funds in case an officer requests it.
For your stay
You should be able to show evidence of sufficient funds (e.g., bank statements, cash, or traveler's checks) to cover your expenses during your stay in Nigeria.Recommended
Arrival declarationYou don't need to fill out any extra health or customs declaration before arrival.

Apply early — no visa on arrival
Tunisian citizens cannot get a visa on arrival in Nigeria. You must have the e-visa approved before you fly. Airlines may refuse boarding without it, so don't leave it to the last minute.
Yellow fever certificate is mandatory
Nigeria enforces the yellow fever vaccination requirement strictly. Carry the official International Certificate of Vaccination — a photocopy or digital copy is not accepted.

What happens at the border

1
Apply online for the e-visa
Go to the official Nigeria Immigration Service portal (https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/). Create an account, fill in the application form, upload your passport photo and travel documents, and pay the visa fee online. The application is entirely digital.
2
Receive your e-visa approval letter
Once approved, you'll receive an e-visa approval letter by email. Print it out — you'll need a physical copy to show at immigration. Processing typically takes a few business days, so apply at least a week before your trip.
3
Arrive at a Nigerian airport
Fly into any international airport in Nigeria — Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) in Lagos or Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (ABV) in Abuja are the main ones. At immigration, present your passport, printed e-visa approval letter, and yellow fever certificate. The officer will check your details and stamp your passport.
4
Proceed to baggage claim and exit
After the immigration check, collect your luggage and go through customs. Keep your e-visa letter handy in case you're asked to show it again. Then you're free to enter Nigeria.
