Tunisian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Togo. You apply online before traveling, and approval usually takes a few business days. As of 2026, this is the standard entry method for tourism or short business visits.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Togo eVisa at evisa.gouv.tg before you fly. Processing takes 2–3 business days — do not wait until the last minute. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your Tunisian passport must be valid for the entire period you plan to stay in Togo. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Togolese immigration, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers at Lomé–Tokoin Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing your departure from Togo within the eVisa validity period.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Togo. Officers may ask for it at the border, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have cash (EUR or USD) or a bank statement showing at least $500 available. Togolese immigration rarely asks, but it is better to have proof ready if questioned.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must have the yellow fever vaccine at least 10 days before travel and carry the international vaccination certificate (Yellow Card). Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport (which costs time and money).
eVisa is tied to your passport number
The eVisa is linked to your passport number. If you renew your passport after getting the eVisa, you'll need to apply again with the new passport details.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.gouv.tg, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $30–$50 depending on processing speed) and submit. Approval usually comes within 2–5 business days.
2
Print or save your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival in Lomé.
3
Arrive at Lomé–Tokoin Airport (LFW)
After landing, follow signs to immigration. Present your passport, eVisa approval, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 10–20 minutes if you have everything ready.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel. There's a customs check but it's usually quick for tourists. You're then free to exit the arrivals hall.
