What happens at the border

Arrive at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)
Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Immigration'. There are separate queues for Hong Kong residents and visitors. Join the 'Visitors' queue. Have your passport and boarding pass ready.

Present your passport and documents
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation details. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with a 90-day entry permit.

Collect luggage and proceed to customs
After immigration, go to the baggage claim carousel for your flight. Then walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no restricted items. You're free to exit into the arrivals hall.
