RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Uganda eVisa
Apply online at the Uganda eVisa portal before you travel. The standard tourist eVisa costs $50 USD and is usually processed within 2–3 business days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Entebbe will stamp the visa on arrival.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must have at least 6 months validity
Your Turkish passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Uganda. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers at Entebbe routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone. If you are overlanding to a neighboring country, show a bus or ferry booking.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Uganda. Immigration may ask where you are staying — having a booking confirmation avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Officers can ask to see proof you can support yourself during your stay. Carry at least $200 USD in cash or a recent bank statement showing available funds.Recommended
Apply early for your eVisa
Processing can take up to 5 business days, and delays happen. Don't wait until the last minute. Apply at least 10 days before your departure.
Yellow fever vaccine recommended
While not strictly required for Turkish citizens, Uganda is a yellow fever endemic zone. Get the vaccine and carry the certificate — it's a small precaution that can save you from quarantine or denial of entry.
