Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Kosovo. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Kosovo law, but airlines may enforce a 6-month rule — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kosovo
Immigration officers at Pristina International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing your departure within the 90-day visa-free period.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed or digital hotel reservation, or a letter of invitation from your host in Kosovo. Border officers rarely ask, but having it ready avoids delays if questioned.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
Have access to at least €50–€100 per day of your stay, either in cash, card, or bank statement. Immigration may ask to see proof of financial means, especially if you arrive without a return ticket.Recommended
No visa, no fee, no fuss
Turkish passport holders get 90 days visa-free in Kosovo. No application, no payment, no embassy visit. Just show up with a valid passport.
Overstaying is costly
If you stay longer than 90 days, you risk a fine and a potential ban from re-entering Kosovo. Set a reminder to leave on time.

What happens at the border

1
Arrival at Pristina International Airport
You'll go through passport control. Hand over your passport. The officer may ask how long you're staying and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They rarely ask for return tickets or hotel bookings, but have them ready on your phone.
2
Land border crossings (if arriving by bus or car)
At land borders like Merdare or Jarinje, the process is similar. Expect a short queue. Have your passport and vehicle documents if driving. No visa fee.
3
Exit Kosovo
No exit fee. Just show your passport at the border. If you stayed over 90 days, you may face a fine or a ban.
