Apply before travel
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at the official portal before you fly. Processing takes 3–5 business days, and you need a digital passport photo, proof of accommodation, and a return ticket ready to upload. Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your Taiwan passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Cameroon. Airlines check this at check-in, and immigration at Douala and Yaoundé enforce it strictly.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return flight before granting entry. Have a printed or digital copy of your ticket ready — they may deny boarding if you cannot show one.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host ready. Immigration at Douala and Yaoundé sometimes ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient money for your stay
Carry cash (CFA francs, euros, or US dollars) or a bank statement showing enough funds for your trip. Immigration may ask how you plan to support yourself — 100,000 CFA (~$170) per week is a safe minimum to show.Recommended
No visa-on-arrival for Taiwanese passport holders
You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight. There is no option to get a visa at the airport. If you arrive without one, you will be denied entry.
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must show your yellow fever vaccination card at immigration. Without it, you may be refused entry or forced to get vaccinated on the spot at your own expense.

What happens at the border

1

Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa. Print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival in Cameroon.
