Must cover entire stay
Your Taiwan passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Moldova. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Moldovan law, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier before flying.Required

Proof of exit from Moldova
Immigration officers at Chișinău Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking showing departure from Moldova within your eVisa validity.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying. Have a hotel confirmation, Airbnb booking, or a letter from your host with their address and contact number. A printed copy works best.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
You may be asked to show you have enough money for your stay. Carry a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least €50 per day of your trip. Cash in euros or US dollars is also accepted.Recommended
eVisa is the only option for tourism
Taiwan passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Moldova. You must apply and receive approval before you travel. No exceptions.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa Online
Go to the official Moldova eVisa website (evisa.gov.md). Fill out the application form, upload a scan of your passport bio page and a recent passport-style photo. Pay the fee (around €80-€100 depending on processing speed) with a credit card. Processing usually takes 3-5 business days, but can be faster with express service.
2
Receive and Save Your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get the eVisa as a PDF via email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at passport control when you arrive in Moldova.
3
Prepare Your Documents for Arrival
Before you fly, gather your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, and accommodation booking. Keep them in your carry-on. At Chișinău International Airport, you'll go through passport control — hand over your passport and eVisa, and answer any questions about your stay.
4
Arrive in Moldova
After landing at Chișinău Airport, follow signs to passport control. The officer will check your documents, stamp your passport, and you're in. The whole process usually takes 5-10 minutes if you have everything ready.

Frequently asked questions

Standard processing takes 3-5 business days. There's also an express option (1-2 business days) for a higher fee. Apply at least a week before your trip to be safe.
The standard eVisa fee is around €80. Express processing can cost up to €100. You pay online with a credit or debit card.
No, the eVisa is not extendable. You must leave before it expires. If you need to stay longer, you'd have to exit and reapply.
You need to renew your passport first. The 6-month validity is counted from your entry date, so if your passport expires sooner, you won't be allowed in.
If you're transiting through Chișinău Airport and not leaving the international transit area, you generally don't need a visa. But check with your airline — some may require one. If you plan to leave the airport, you need the eVisa.
Your valid passport, the eVisa approval (printed or on your phone), your return or onward ticket, and proof of accommodation. The officer may ask about your plans, so have a simple answer ready.
It's not always required, but it's strongly recommended. Some airlines may ask for proof of insurance before boarding. A basic policy covering medical emergencies is cheap and worth it.
