What happens at the border

1
Apply for visa online
Go to visa.nadra.gov.pk and fill out the application. Choose your visa type (tourist, business, etc.), upload a passport photo and scanned passport page, and pay the fee. Processing takes 5–10 working days.
2
Receive visa approval
Once approved, you'll get a visa sticker or an electronic approval letter. Print a copy and keep it with your passport. Some travellers also receive a visa number — note it down.
3
Arrive at Pakistani airport
At immigration counters in Islamabad, Karachi, or Lahore, present your passport, visa, and return ticket. The officer may ask your hotel address and purpose of visit. Be polite and direct.
4
Get your passport stamped
The officer will stamp your passport with your entry date and allowed stay. Check the stamp before leaving the counter — if the dates look wrong, ask immediately.
