Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your Qatari host. Immigration may ask for it, especially if you are staying at a private residence. A simple booking confirmation email works.Recommended
Proof of funds

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Hamad International Airport (DOH)
Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then to 'Immigration'. There are separate queues for GCC residents and visitors — join the 'Visitors' line. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation details ready.
2
Present documents at immigration counter
Hand over your passport and any requested documents. The officer will process your visa on arrival — it's free and takes about 2-5 minutes. You'll receive a stamp in your passport valid for 30 days.
3

After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's nothing to declare for most travellers. Exit into the arrivals hall where taxis and ride-shares are available.
